  BRONZE CASKETS:

Bronze caskets are naturally non-rusting. Bronze is considered an alloy, and contains 90% copper and 10% zinc.

Bronze caskets are available in brushed or painted finishes. Shell styles include urn, round and square shaped. Appearance, durability, thickness and shell style are important features of bronze caskets.

Artifacts made from bronze have been found from as early as 5000 B.C. Most statues in parks, as well as cemetery markers and monuments are constructed of bronze.

COPPER CASKETS:

Copper caskets are natually non-rusting and very durable. Copper caskets, however, are not as strong as bronze.

Copper caskets are available in brushed or painted finishes. Shell types include urn, round and square shaped. Appearance, durability, thickness and shell style are important features of Copper caskets.

The external shell of the Statue of Liberty is made of copper. In 1976, the internal steel structure was refurbished due to rust. The copper exterior was in perfect condition. This is a testament to the natural non-rusting nature and durability of copper.

STAINLESS STEEL:

There are two grades of stainless steel caskets: Premium and Basic.

Premium stainless steel contains chromium and nickel. Chromium and nickel give stainless steel its strength and corrosion resistant qualities.

Basic stainless steel contains a lower percentage of chromium and virtually no nickel.

Premium stainless steel is used to manufacture kitchen sinks, tableware, jet engines, surgical instruments, and the roof of the Chrysler building and the St. Louis Arch. Premium stainless steel is non-magnetic. Basic stainless steel is often used to manufacture car exhaust systems. Basic stainless steel is magnetic.
STEEL CASKETS:

Steel caskets are made from three gauges or thickness of steel (16, 18, 20 gauge). The thicker the gauge, the longer the casket will last.

Steel caskets are available in brushed, painted and shaded finishes. Shell styles include urn, round and square cornered. Durability, thickness, shell design and appearance are important features of steel caskets.

HARDWOOD CASKETS:

Wood caskets are often selected because of their natural warmth and beauty. Depending on the size and style of the casket, between 150-250 board feet of solid lumber is used to build a casket.

Hardwood caskets have satin, semi or high gloss lacquer finishes. These finishes can be hand rubbed to a high polish.

CREMATION CASKETS:

These caskets, while made of wood are primarily designed for an open casket ceremony when cremation is the preferred disposition.

Cremation caskets and containers are a simple, ecological and economical way to cremate.
